About the event

This workshop will explore three levels and layers of poverty that we observe and experience in Barrie. What picture comes to mind when you think of poverty and/or homelessness? Using real-life examples, we will discuss what interventions are needed.

Following the principle that the Church has a unique and distinct calling and ability to engage poverty, Biblical principles for a holistic, Christ-centred, Gospel-driven approach to poverty intervention will be discussed. There will be opportunity for group discussion to ask questions and to explore next steps to put these principles into practice. This event is FREE.

Coffee, Tea, and Snacks will be provided. Please arrive early, after 9:30am, for coffee and fellowship, and there will be opportunity after the workshop for more discussion.

This workshop will be recorded for wider distribution. IMPORTANT ARRIVAL INFORMATION: The Hope Centre, 34 Mary Street, South of Dunlop Street, Downtown Barrie. * Mary Street is closed at Dunlop. The Hope Centr…
