About the event
We're bringing people from all walks of life together to learn about poverty from a faith-based, Christian worldview. Like you, we want to learn about poverty and to seek God's heart for HOW to engage the Least, the Lost, and the Last in our city. This event is for anyone and everyone, whether or not you share our faith as a Follower of Jesus, or are a Ministry Leader, Pastor, or you work in the Marketplace. We're bringing organizations, groups, and the Church of Barrie and beyond together on mission.
Expect thought-provoking, informative, and inspiring presentations and panels by subject-matter experts in areas of:
Poverty & Homelessness, Food Insecurity, Addiction, and Mental Health;
Justice issues;
The differing, but harmonious, Biblical approaches to addressing poverty;
... and special guests, City of Barrie Mayor Alex Nuttall and Barrie Police Service Chief Rich Johnston, to paint the picture of poverty for us and…
